Caring for and maintaining stone surfaces
Marble & Limestone
Marble and limestone are a calcium carbonate base and therefore require strict cleaning regime:

Clean up spills immediately

Only clean with soapy water or neutral pH cleaner, and dry after cleaning

Do not allow acids to in contact with surface

Re-seal regularly with a good quality natural stone sealer
Granite
Granite is predominantly composed of silica and therefore less permeable than marble or limestone. It is also less susceptible to chemical attack:

Re-seal light colours regularly with a good quality natural stone sealer

Limescale deposits maybe removed with '00' wire wool
Engineered / Quartz Stone
Quartz surfaces are man made and are comprise of silica and resing binder:

Clean with soapy water or neutral pH cleaner, and dry after cleaning

Stubborn stains can be removed with abrasive cleaner like astonish

Do not place hot pans in direct contact with the surface always use pan stands or trivets
